Ideator is sponsoring this year’s Startup Grind Global Conference, an annual event that brings together Silicon Valley’s top investors, developers, journalists, and entrepreneurs for two days of workshops, talks, intimate meetings, and parties.
The event takes place on Feb. 23 – 24 at the Fox Theater in Redwood City, California. With 3,000 founders and investors, more than 40 keynote and fireside sessions, and over 50 exhibiting startups, this year’s conference promises to be Startup Grind’s best and largest ever.
We’re looking forward to meeting all the chapter directors and hearing what the different speakers have to say on the topic of startups. Be sure to check out the action-packed agenda to find a workshop or speaker that interests you.
On day 1 of the event (February 23rd), Ideator will be launching a virtual idea competition. This is open to the public, and the winner will be awarded $5,000 cash plus free tools and services from sponsors. Partners include Salesforce.org, Pledge 1%, Cooley LLP, Box.org, CrunchBase, Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center and Startup Grind. Submit to the competition here.
Entrepreneurial Values to Live By
Startup Grind is an event series and website designed to help educate, inspire, and connect local entrepreneurs. Each month, the local chapters welcome a different speaker who shares their story with the community, including what worked, what didn’t, and what they’ll do differently next time. Startup Grind offers a great opportunity to learn from the best, network with other members of the startup community, and improve your chances of entrepreneurial success.
Ideator got involved with Startup Grind San Diego because it’s a great organization to be part of. We especially like their values, which closely align with what we individually and collectively stand for at Ideator:
We believe in making friends, not contacts.
We believe in giving, not taking.
We believe in helping others before helping yourself.
Startup Grind provides a high level of consistency and direction for entrepreneurs, operating nurture startup ecosystems in 70 countries through events, media, and partnerships with organizations like Google for Entrepreneurs. It’s a very collaborative culture, and we’re proud to be a sponsor of the San Diego chapter and to host the monthly events.
Ideator and Startup Grind San Diego
If you’re a budding entrepreneur in the San Diego area, you’ll be glad to know that Startup Grind San Diego is back in action – thanks in large part to the efforts of Ideator co-founder Jeremy Sanders, and VP Business Development and Sales, Thomas Schutz.
The original San Diego chapter of this inspirational meet-up organization had shut down for a while due to lack of support, but the Ideator team decided it was too valuable to let go by the wayside. So with Jeremy and Thomas leading the way as co-directors and Jessica Buerger, Ideator’s Community Manager, lending a helping hand, we’re taking an active role in re-launching and hosting the local chapter. If you’re looking for a fun way to share ideas and experiences with local entrepreneurs, click here. We’d love for you to join us! And if you’ve got an idea, remember to submit it to the competition! https://ideator.com/maychallenge
