The Front-End Engineer on the Ideator team will plan, write code, and critique to aid in the development of Ideator platform. The ideal candidate is a programmer with a keen eye for design. This person has a curiosity and excitement for new web technologies and techniques, enjoys creating tools that will help others, and finds frequent new projects refreshing.
We’re looking for someone that shares our passion for helping entrepreneurs succeed by creating well-designed UI to serve a variety of purposes in a fast paced environment. If you love solving challenging problems, building a community, and strive for quality, then this is the job for you.
Expert In:
You should be able to do most of these really well, or learn it quickly.
• Object Oriented Programming
• Javascript & Javascript libraries
• HTML5/CSS (using SASS for CSS production)
• Responsive layout
• Git
• UX troubleshooting and issue diagnosis
Some experience in:
• Relational DB modeling
• Test Driven Development (unit testing)
• Continuous Integration (CircleCI or equivalent)
Huge pluses:
• Code evaluation tools (Coffeelint or equivalent)
• AngularJS
• Incident response analysis & management (Newrelic)
• Deployment management
Other pluses:
• Google Material Design
• WebSockets
• NoSQL databases
• Familiar with any and all other MVC frameworks other than ROR
• WordPress
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field (MBA a huge plus).
• 1-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proven track record in software development.
• Experience working in a start-up environment.
• Experience introducing a new product to market.
